I'm using his DD shape poly core paddle (8.35 oz) which offers great balance, fantastic control and that extra juice I want for more winning shots.  Hello Val, Here’s the report on my new “Smile” Paddle. First, I’ll give it a 10 on looks. You did an amazing job with the cutout. I was very curious about playability but was pleasantly surprised how well it played. I played with it last night and again this morning. 9 games in and I’m undefeated with this paddle, probably more about the competition then the paddle but I’m giving the paddle the credit.  Thanks Val, I get a lot of interest in these smile paddles. Everyone wants to try them. My favorite so far is the original red and black “smile” paddle you made for me. Last week a pretty solid Pickleball Player showed up with his new Selkirk “smile” paddle. I hit it a few times, it was fine but seemed a little “pingie” to me. That same person tried my paddle, he was impressed. In my humble opinion, there’s no comparison between a Val built paddle and a Selkirk. Yours are Superior!!!! Can’t wait to try the BJ.  Awesome. How is your brand not the Official #1 Pickeball Paddles is beyond me and many like me that come from hard-core tennis (ex-pros, league, etc.) Your paddles are beyond just mere ''sticks'' to play with; they are ART. They incapsulate everything a perfect paddle should have; optimized form (aero head, long handle, etc.) besides top quality build. I - and we, a bunch of former tennis pros (80s, 90s..) - tested your paddles in compare to the best ergonomic and most balanced established brands like Babolat, Prince, Head and Wilson. It doesn't come even close; the quality of your paddles and the body-to-handle ratio is by far the best in the sport. The only similarity is the hitting area form factor with Prince paddles and some Babolat. Can't wait for your paddle(s) to become the Official #1. Keep up the good work.  Hi, I played with the paddle today; am in awe. My unforced errors droped bellow 10%. Thanks to you I found the best paddle there is (and I tested around 27 paddles..). I am soo happy with this paddle, you will never know. This exact paddle; 16mm fiberglass. I am not a fan of the 16mm carbon - the feeling is somewhat ''muffled'', the ball has not zip compare to this paddle. This paddle does everything for me; everyone asked me today how come I make soo few unforced errors (especially from the baseline, like none). And this was the first time I played this paddle. Maybe the carbon 10-12mm would match somewhat, but a 16mm carbon is useless to me; no zip, no power, no slice/under-spin, just better on the control that's all but that doesn't work for me..  I Will definitely provide analysis info. Since, I am still comparing many paddles I do not know if I will have enough hours on the paddle to analyze durability but will provide as much info as possible. I have tried a huge # of paddles and I am always amazed at how well your paddles compare with even the $200+ paddles. They just feel terrific for me and I often get compliments on how well I play with them and people ask which big name high end product (Selkirk, Engage, Gearbox etc.) I am using at the time. I want to compare this model with the Diadem Warrior 19mm. Truly amazing what you achieve from "home". July 15, 2024
